CBS has earned Green Seal certifications, a recognition from the Environmental Media Association for environmentally-friendly sets. CBS shows that have received Green Seal certifications include: The Good Wife, Madam Secretary, and SHOWTIME's Billions.

CBS EcoMedia

CBS EcoMedia’s mission is to harness the power of advertising to effect positive social change. The company's groundbreaking programs direct a portion of brands’ ad-spends on CBS media to nonprofit organizations supporting critical education, environmental, animal welfare, veterans’ and wellness initiatives across the country. Over the past two decades, EcoMedia has delivered more than $100 million in funding and resources to nonprofits, improving the quality of life for more than 62 million Americans. The division has earned numerous awards and recognitions for their work, including the Cynopsis Media Social Good Leader of the Year Award, the Volunteers of America Good Samaritan Award, and back-to-back Edison Awards for Social Innovation and Social Impact.

CBS Cares

CBS Cares

At the heart of CBS' public service commitment is the multiple award-winning CBS cares campaign, which consists of PSAs created by CBS, usually featuring talent from a wide array of CBS Television Network programming. In 2017, CBS Television Network scheduled public service announcements ("PSAs") worth more than $200 million. These PSAs have addressed numerous causes, including Women History Month, diversity/tolerance, Holocaust Remembrance, support for troops and their families, and many more. CBSCARES.tv provides additional information to viewers on causes that are the subject of the Network's on-air PSAs.
