Martha L. Minow


Ms. Minow is the Carter Professor of General Jurisprudence at Harvard Law School and a Harvard University Distinguished Service Professor. Currently she is also a fellow at the Radcliffe Institute for Advance Study at Harvard University. Ms. Minow has taught at Harvard Law School since 1981 and served as Dean of the Harvard Law School from 2009 through June 2017. A fellow of the American Academy of Arts & Sciences since 1992, Minow has also been a senior fellow of Harvard’s Society of Fellows, a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, and a Fellow of the American Philosophical Society. She has served extensively on government commissions and boards of directors of nonprofit organizations, including current service as Vice-Chair of the Legal Services Corporation, a trustee of the MacArthur Foundation and an advisory council member of the MIT Media Lab, among others. She is also the author of numerous books and scholarly articles in journals of law, history and philosophy.
