2017 NALIP Media Summit

 

Recently Barbara Matos, Vice President, Diversity and Inclusion, CBS Corporation and National Association of Latino Independent Producers (NALIP) Board of Trustee member served as a panelist on the Sharing Our Stories: Beyond Diversity panel at the 2017 NALIP Media Summit in Los Angeles. Panelists lead a conversation on diverse stories shared across film and television with an engaged audience.  The 18th annual Summit presented master classes, signature conversations, workshops, panels, film screenings, and Q&A sessions that provided Latino content creators with important knowledge and connected them with industry professionals. In addition, Catrice Monson, SVP, Diversity and Inclusion, CBS Corporation and Sandy Hernandez, Intern, CBS Diversity and Inclusion, were among the exhibitors at the NALIP Media Summit “Creators Lounge,” where they shared CBS career opportunities, diversity programs and initiatives. The Media Summit is a platform for Latinos to advance and inspire other Latinos in the industry.   The Summit closed with the 2017 Media Awards Gala which honored Latinos who have made great advancements for their community and included a surprise appearance by  Vin Diesel who presented Zoe Saldana with the NALIP Outstanding Achievement in Film Award.
