LUKE FREDBERG PROMOTED TO VICE PRESIDENT OF INTERNATIONAL COMMUNICATIONS FOR CBS CORPORATION
London-Based Executive Adds CBS Studios International to Portfolio of CBS Communications Responsibilities Overseas
Luke Fredberg has been promoted to Vice President, International Communications for CBS Corporation, it was announced today by Dana McClintock, Senior Vice President of Communications for CBS Corporation. The appointment is effective immediately.
Based in London, Fredberg will continue to report directly to CBS Communications in New York, as well as to the executives in charge of CBS Corporation’s international operations, including CBS Interactive International, CBS Outdoor International and the CBS Interactive Music Group. Fredberg will also assume the additional responsibility of communications for CBS Studios International, CBS Corporation’s leading supplier of programming to the international television marketplace.
“We are confident that Luke’s expanded responsibilities will significantly help CBS communicate its exciting international growth strategy,” said McClintock. “Since joining us, Luke has engineered all sorts of new ways to highlight the activities of our overseas operations, and now he will apply that same expertise to our largest international growth area – television syndication. Our department increasingly relies on Luke’s presence in London, as well as his close ties with the rest of our businesses around the globe, and now we welcome him to this new position.”
Fredberg joined CBS Corporation in 2009 as Director of International Communications having served in a number of London-based international communications roles, including the Head of European Consumer and Sponsorship Public Relations for Visa.
A dual citizen of Australia and Cyprus, Fredberg received a B.A. in Media Studies from the University of Adelaide and a Masters of Journalism from the University of Wollongong.
