Veteran International Television Executive Oliver Kreuter Named Managing Director
CBS Studios International is expanding its European presence, establishing a new branch office in Munich, Germany, it was announced by Armando Nuñez, President, CBS Studios International.
Veteran international television executive Oliver Kreuter has been named Managing Director, CBS Studios International Germany GMBH, reporting to Joe Lucas, Executive Vice President, Sales, CBS Studios International.
In this newly-created position, Kreuter will spearhead the company’s ever growing programming and format licensing business in German-speaking European territories across all media platforms.
The addition of the Munich office brings the total number of CBS Studios International’s worldwide offices to 11.
“With the increasing importance of the German media market, we feel it essential to establish a local presence in Germany,” commented Armando Nuñez, President, CBS Studios International. “We are thrilled to have Oliver join our team. His extensive knowledge and relationships will expand our business in what is one of the world’s largest media markets.”
Kreuter joins CBS Studios International from Bavaria Media Television where he was Head of Television for the past four and a half years. While at Bavaria Media Television, Kreuter was responsible for the licensing and acquisition of programming. Prior to that, Kreuter served as Director, National Account Management, Getty Images Deutschland. From 2001-2004, he was head of global distribution, RTV Family Entertainment AG. He began his career in 1993 with KirchMedia Group as an International Sales Manager for BetaFilm as well as licensing programming from Discovery Communications to the German-speaking market.
